I used these baluns for the video connections (cameras & DVR) in a wired (CAT5e) security cam network (Q-See). Two months of continuous use and no problems! Cameras are mounted outside under eaves, and since the connections are somewhat protected from vertical rain, no special or extra encapsulation was used.
